The word 'Design'.

Design. Asking those unfamiliar with what design is, is so generically different to those who may be an engineer. The way people look at what design is, asking my neighbours who had no true response as to what design is as it can be a difficult question. What is design. some may say its painting and its creating this idea of something original, whilst others may say its the way things go together, My father being an engineer believes that design is the way things are created, moulded together to be come something multifunctional, how machines are put together and mechanically work. I am currently reading a book by Bryan lawson called 'the way designers Think' and I was instantly connected with what people believe the word 'design' means to them; design is so broad I in what it means in different industries but also everyday life, that maybe the word design means life. Every thing we do is design, the mind is a form of design, we design our emotions, our routines, our likes and dislikes, we design ourselves.I strongly believe design is much more than an idea coming to life on a page. I believe it is life itself.
